桥上的决定

During a difficult journey, a young messenger reached a wooden bridge damaged by rain. Crossing it would save an hour, but the boards looked dangerous. Behind him, another rider warned that enemy scouts were close. The messenger had to make a decision quickly.

Instead of risking both the message and his horse, he hid the papers inside his coat and followed the river to a shallow crossing. The longer path required courage and patience. He stopped once to give the tired horse water, although every minute mattered. The delay kept both rider and horse strong for the final hill. He arrived safely just before night. His careful choice showed that bravery is not the same as ignoring danger; sometimes it means protecting the purpose of a journey.
