When winter arrived, families hid inside dark caves, but the stone walls provided little warmth. From a high mountain, Prometheus watched the small lights of the stars and heard children cry below.The other gods did not notice their fear. Prometheus, however, believed people could build a better life if they had one bright gift. He knew that taking fire from the gods was dangerous, yet he could no longer turn away.
