One day, Lina became the keeper of an old bell tower. The tower stood above a quiet village, and its silver bell told people when a storm was near. Her grandfather gave her a small key and said, “Listen to the bell, even when no one pulls the rope.”

That night, Lina woke up to one clear sound. She climbed the tower, but the rope did not move. A cold wind came through the open window. On the floor, she noticed a line of wet footprints. They led to a little wooden door that she had never seen before.
